Description
both refined and powerful. The first nose unmistakably reveals malted barley but also rye with tones of warm biscuit and candied citrus fruit (lemon). Allowed to breathe, it becomes mentholated and vanilla. Next, spices take the reins, with pink peppercorn, star anise, clove, cinnamon and green liquorice. Chilli and heady florals (gardenia) are also abundant, before notes of roasted apples bring lots of creaminess to the aromatic palette.
clear, resolute. The attack is characterized by citrus fruit (lime, grapefruit), malted barley and exotic fruit (passion fruit, pineapple). It also gives the delightful sensation of chewing on a liquorice stick. On the mid-palate, brioche notes appear alongside fresh fruit (pear, Mirabelle plum, white peach). Gradually it becomes increasingly powdery (cocoa, coconut). The very slender and energetic end of the palate is floral (pansy, gillyflower), spicy (cinnamon, ginger) and herbaceous (green malt, lucerne).
long, dynamic. For its part centred on cereal and sweet pastries, the finish confidently evokes a lemon-meringue tart. Next, notes of rose petal and turkish delight lead a development into more oriental tones. Gradually, the taste buds are refreshed with the sweet liqueur of a chai tea latte. On the retro-nasal olfaction, rye, fruit and curry prolong the tasting indefinitely. The empty glass shows lots of youth and a remarkable expression of freshness.
