It might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of rum, but Australia has been producing this spirit for over 130 years! Located on the banks of Albert River, the Beenleigh Rum Distillery was given its distillation permit in 1884. It uses molasses from sugar cane grown and crushed in the region and, although it has since been modernised, has kept its copper pot stills. A double-distilled spirit aged in ex-bourbon casks caught the eye of the &Fine Spirits store. The team, who are passionate rum enthusiasts, chose an unusual single cask to join the 6, Carrefour de l’Odéon range.

Colour: burnished gold.
