Speyside Single Malt – 40%, 75cl
Pinerolo Import for Bar Vittorio Veneto

In the 1970s, many Italian and American importers and specialists were lucky enough to get their hands on a personalized bottling of this Glenfarclas-Glenlivet. The label found on this 8 year old version displays all of the legal statements of the era specific to Glenfarclas’ main export countries. In this case, we have a version bottled for Bar Vittorio Veneto. Despite its young age, this single malt is inexorably characterized by its sherry cask maturation. Every element is there, but in disarray. Inimitable!

Colour: wonderful gold with glints of amber.

the very versatile nose is a real cacophony of aromas, with refreshing mint, a hint of coffee grounds, rancio (raisin), cocoa powder, mead, spice bread (ginger, cinnamon), dried fruit with praline and bitter almond, prune juice, a floral note of heather, malted barley and bourbon vanilla! As a whole, it resembles a liqueur but which?

lively, with a certain sweetness. The palate is also charac- terized by mint leaf and barley pulp. An abundance of dried fruit and rancio, followed by notes of roasting coffee bean. A note of cured fish then appears. Rock ‘n’ roll!

fairly short, with lots of malted barley and dried fruit, hazelnut and almond, the finish is like a breakfast latte. But it also lingers with aromas of a Cuban cigar long after it has been smoked. On the retro-nasal olfaction, it becomes mineral with a note of hot tarmac.
