LMDW Exclusive

Located at an altitude of 200 metres on the northern slope of the Ben Rinnes mountain, the Benrinnes distillery was completely rebuilt in 1955 before being modernised and automated in the autumn of 2012. From 1974 to 2007, the distillery’s spirit was distilled two and a half times. This very sober bottling aged 23 years has managed to preserve the energy of its youth. And so it is with a brisk pace that it guides the taster through the twists and turns of a particularly bright and
Colourful palette of flavours and aromas which constantly gains height in order to showcase the inextricable connections uniting the three stages of the tasting.

Colour: golden yellow.

Description

refined, distinguished. A subtle mixture of ripe fruits (pear, Mirabelle plum) and heady florals (lily, iris), the first nose is particularly elegant. Allowed to breathe, florals (daffodil, buttercup), cut hay and lucerne bring the tasting to a very inspired rustic register. Later, tobacco and noble spices (cardamom, clove) appear alongside the intoxicating fragrance of patchouli. In a grand finale, acacia honey brings lots of sweetness to the aromatic palette.

clean, precise. With authority, the attack reveals fruity (wild peach, lime), milky (coconut) and vanilla flavours. On the mid-palate, verbena and sage bring beautiful green and iridescent nuances to the chromatic palette. With lots of flair, the end of the palate evokes a mint tea, chamomile infusion or even a creamy vanilla flan. The end of the palate is roasted (coffee) and cocoaey.

long, silky. The deliciously saline start of the finish has an oriental influence (turkish delight, rose petal). This is confirmed eloquently by a hint of curry and turmeric. On the retro-nasal olfaction, the same aromatic plants refresh the palate. The empty glass is heady, spicy (nutmeg) and rich (cappuccino, tiramisu).
